Our Giveback Initiative

We are committed to making Peers.net support accessible to all teens and young adults, regardless of their ability to pay.

To fulfill this commitment, we’ve partnered with community organizations to provide free support sessions to their members while we work on getting our peer support service covered by Medicaid and private insurance.

For every peer support session purchased on Peers.net, we’ll donate one to a partner organization.*

How the Giveback Initiative works

For every session or gift card purchased, we donate the same number of sessions to community partners who work with teens and young adults.

Once the sessions have been donated, our partners distribute them to their members, who can then book a session with a supporter of their choice, free of charge, using a unique code.

We share usage reports with our partners so they can track impact (but no individual user data).

Interested in getting involved?

If you are a community partner interested in joining our Giveback Initiative, we would love to hear from you. We’re looking to collaborate with non-profit and youth-led organizations that have direct contact with young people (13 to 30 years old) who could benefit from peer support and likely can’t afford to pay for it out of pocket.

Interested in donating sessions to our community partners?

If you are a donor and would like to fund a bundle of 100 or more sessions to one of our partners or another organization you would like us to include in our Giveback Initiative, please get in touch. Your donation will go directly to the organization to support their mental health work, and we will provide them with discounted sessions in addition to the free ones we’re donating.

* When we get widespread insurance coverage, we will re-evaluate this policy and notify our partners as appropriate.
